Yummy Recipe

This is a recipe that I found in real simple and I quite enjoy it. Here's the link to the recipe page for the first dish. The main dish is couscous with an apricot chicken salad. If you're making it in an off season for apricots, then I suggest using apples. Serves about 5 people, and is light and refreshing.

The dessert is an apricot butterscotch sauce over vanilla ice cream. Here's the link

Both dishes go nicely with wine, but if you're wanting to stick with the apricot theme, then I would suggest an apricot ale.

Enjoy!

Santa Claus Conquers The Martians

A cult classic 1964 film about martians kidnapping Santa Claus. It's ridiculous in every sense of the word. One of my favorite holiday films. If you haven't seen it, then I highly suggest you put it on your must see holiday list.

Photo shoot

Photographs by Laurel Dailey.

Skirt: Jody Dailey...ha this is actually a funny skirt because I totally flunked this project because I found out when I turned it in that I was supposed to make a dress or shirt, not a skirt. And then the best part was that the next week's project was a high waisted skirt....LAME.

Dress: Jody Dailey. Oliver's clothing is all his own. The belt, the fur, and the shoes are Laurel's. This was a dress that I made for the American Heart Association, as an awareness piece for heart disease. This one is just the mock up, so it's in blue. The final one will be in red and debuted at the year end luncheon.
Robot coat: Jody Dailey. This is one of my favorites. I made this coat for my final project in my final quarter of school. It's 100% wool with a silk lining.

Dress: 100% stone wash silk, silk chiffon lining.

Okay so I know it's been a while. I'm guilty as charged. My sister told me this would happen, I would get a blog, write every day for a week and then fall off the face of the earth. I hate it when she's right. But I'm going to try and be better about it now that I"m done with school. That's right, DONE.

I feel like I have a lot of blog catching up to do, so over the next few days I hope to post some stuff from the previous weeks. And, I'll be in oregon, so some fantastic oregon photos will be up too! Can't wait.
