One Last Thing For The Day...

Again, found on www.inhabit.com

This images remind me of when I was little and my mom would make up these grand bed time stories about little fairies and bugs that lived in very Ferngully esq. forest. Those stories are so vivid and engraved in my mind. Nothing is better then a story that lets your imagination go wild and it's the last thing you think about before you fall asleep. Anywho, these little veggie scenes are incredible and brought me back to that little magic bedtime world. Enjoy.

Inhabit

This is probably my new favorite website. The innovative "green" ideas are endless. ENDLESS I TELL YOU! I would call my self exactly organic, or an eco-freak, but I certainly appreciate the movement and its style. Here are a few of my top picks from Inhabit.

Edible Art: Biodegradable bowls made from vegetables.

Laser Cut leaves

Skateboard Stools
Toothpick Lamp

TreeTop Office

"One look at this office nestled amid the treetops and you might contemplate how to change your life in order to have a workspace with such an incredible view. Peter Frazier, a customer experience consultant, decided after years of working at an office and gaining over 50 pounds that he needed to make a change in his life - so he built this incredible office in the woods. Set amongst the trees above Chuckanut Bay in Bellingham, Washington, his lofted cube serves as a workspace and guest room, and it has a green roof on top too."

I will be ordering this book today. His work is delightful and I can't wait to get this!
The web site is incredible if you want to check it out.

I Bought a Book Today.

People, I am ruined. I went to Barns and Noble (bad idea) on my lunch break today, and naturally I glance over the "Architecture" section to see if there were any new tree house books. There was. Although their selection was a bit sad in size, I was lucky enough to find a tree house book that I don't already own. Glorious. Just opening it, the new book smell was overwhelming and fantastic. I sat at my desk and oooohed and ahhhhhed at every page. My heart pitter pattered like a teenager in love.
Tree houses are so magical. Little palaces scrapped together out of found objects and fairy dust. sigh....

Camptown Races Sing This Song

The Campptown ladies sing this song,
Doo-da, Doo-da
The Camptown racetrack's five miles long
Oh, de doo-da day

Goin' to run all night
Goin' to run all day
I bet my money on a bob-tailed nag
Somebody bet on the gray

Oh, the long tailed filly and the big black horse,
Doo-da, doo-da
Come to a mud hole and they all cut across,
Oh, de doo-da day

Goin' to run all night
Goin' to run all day
I bet my money on a bob-tailed nag
Somebody bet on the gray

I went down there with my hat caved in,
Doo-da, doo-da
I came back home with a pocket full of tin
Oh, de doo-da day

Goin' to run all night
Goin' to run all day
I bet my money on a bob-tailed nag
Somebody bet on the gray

North Coast Rasputin Imperial Stout

I had this beer last night at The Bottle Room in Up Town Whittier. The first sip tasted like a chocolate milk shake, but then after the head wore off a bit, it had slight blueberry flavor. I will definitely be hunting this one down at my local Bev Mo. I give it a 10. 10 for taste and 10 for alcohol content.

The Beer Challenge

I made a bet with the devil today.

It involves me brewing my own beer. If anyone has any helpful tips or suggestion concerning this process, then PLEASE enlighten me.

Cheers.

New Toy

This is the new apple of my eye and I will start saving......NOW.

Also, in other coffee news, I just figured out that I can purchase Stumptown beans on their website. FABULOUS. And I must say, they have a lovely site.

I Support Good Decisions

Some good decisions made over the weekend:

1.) Picnic at Shoreline Park in Long Beach. Picnic essentials included:
-Cute picnic basket
-Cute roommates
-Mission IPA
-Raspberries, cheese, bread, and cake
-summer clothes

2.) Downloading Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zero's new album. PREMIUM.

3.) The Waterfront Pub in Santa Monica.
-Giant pretzels
-Giant Hef

4.) 5 movies in one weekend. Some better than others and some lower budg' than others.

Low Points:

1.) Watching 5 movies in one weekend.

2.) Losing a bet. Owing a $1 taco. Admitting I was wrong. (honestly I think there was some cheating involved...)

3.) No but really, don't watch The Cake Eaters. Big time low point.

When in Rome

This address is on a shipment of fabric that is currently trying to make it's way from Italy to my office. I don't know if it will actually find its way to my desk or not...

Here's the real address: Affliction Clothing
                                           1799 Apollo Ct.
                                           Seal Beach, CA US 90740

It gave me quite the laugh.
